Learn to trust your process

Early sobriety can feel chaotic and uncertain. At any time you begin to feel a sudden sense of overwhelm, about what’s happening in your life, and what you need to do,  JUST…stop and breathe. Remind yourself that you’re going to be okay.

Remember, IT TOOK YEARS TO GET YOU HERE. And real change WILL NOT HAPPEN OVERNIGHT. SO ALLOW THE PROCESS to unfold NATURALLY.

Each day during your recovery, I encourage you to journal any little changes you are noticing along the way. Both good and bad.

Documenting the present moment will give you more clarity about where you are. And besides that, you never know…. one day you might want to go back into those journals and remind yourself just how far you’ve come.

I’d also like you to remember that your higher self and spirt, want you to heal. So when YOU make the effort to do the work, life  will show up and meet you there, so that it can provide you with the rest of what you need in that moment that is beyond your own capacity to obtain.

So take action where you can—- and then surrender to the rest.

Here is a mantra for you to repeat when you have doubts or just need to remind yourself that you are on your way.

Just take a deep breath and say “I deserve to feel good. I deserve to be supported in all ways and I definitely deserve to recover!”

Because whatever current challenges you have in your life right now, ….by deciding 100% that you want to be sober and doing what you have in your own power, you can then relax and pay attention to what seem like coincidences but are actually synchronicities, that start to show up in your life and help you along the way.

Just by taking action where you can, you will not go without as long as you do take the actions that you have the power to take.

You see, It’s your faith and trust that life asks for, which will reward you with the benefits of support and new opportunities, that’ll show up in perfect timing for you and often when you are least expecting it.

And now, give yourself a few more deep breaths.

Because all this ever is and ever will be, is one step at a time.

I deserve to feel good. I deserve to be supported in all ways.!” If you ask me, this is a lifelong mantra.
